US crude ends near flat, awaits Fed meeting results
NEW YORK, April 26 (Reuters) - U.S. crude oil futures ended near flat for the second day in a row on Tuesday as investors held off making big bets, awaiting results of a two-day meeting of Federal Reserve policymakers to get a clearer view of where the economy might be headed.
As investors also awaited weekly industry and government petroleum inventory data, crude for June delivery CLM1 settled on the New York Mercantile Exchange at $112.21 a barrel, down 7 cents, or 0.06 percent, after volatile trading between $111.12 and $112.64. On Monday, the contract settled down 1 cent at $112.28. (Reporting by Gene Ramos; Editing by John Picinich)
